Solari to remain in Europe

Santiago Solari put an end to the rumors that have been circulating about a possible return to Argentina to play for his old team River Plate.

In a lengthy interview today on Radio La Red, Solari categorically stated that he is staying in Europe despite the fact that his time with Inter is coming to an end.

Solari also said that he is looking to sign with a top European club and is interested in experiencing a new league.

La Red also reported today that Roberto Ayala will be arriving in Argentina in the next few days and that the River Plate manager and the team president will be meeting with him in an attempt to convince Ayala to sign with the team.

You're right. Solari played well with Real Madrid but it never translated into any opportunities with the national team. I always thought he would be a good player to have on the left side of the midfield.

Like you said, Mancini did not use Solari very much. I hope that he returns to La Liga because Solari is too talented a player to be sitting on the bench.

Solari said that he would consider playing in the Premier League as long as its for a competitive team.

Thanks for your comments.
