Top Goal Scorers in Europe

The Top Argentine Goal Scorer in Europe

Sergio Aguero - 19 goals

The 2007/08 season was without question Aguero's best so far as he has established himself as not only one of the best players in Spain but in all of Europe.

Fernando Cavenaghi - 15 goals

For Cavenaghi, his best season yet in France capped off with a return to the national team.

Diego Milito - 15 goals

Another fine season for Milito that ended on a very sour note as Real Zaragoza dropped to Second Division.

Carlos Tevez - 14 goals

An extraordinary first season with Manchester United. Besides the goals scored, Tevez went on to win the Premier League and the Champions League. Can't really ask for much more.

Julio Cruz - 13 goals

Another successful season for Cruz as he helped Inter win yet another league title.

Lionel Messi - 10 goals

Unfortunately for Lio, it was another injury plagued season with disappointing results for his team.

Nápoli looking to sign Germán Denis

Corriere dello Sport is reporting that Nápoli is interested in signing Independiente goal scorer Germán Denis and is willing to make an offer of 8 million euros for him.

Atlético de Madrid rejects offer of 55 million euros for Aguero

Chelsea made an enormous offer of 55 million euros for el Kun Aguero which his team emphatically turned down.

The offer that was made and the rejection of it is no doubt an indication of the great moment that Aguero is currently experiencing. This past season was his best yet in Spain.

More offers will surely rain down on Atlético for Aguero. Will the team eventually accept an offer for el Kun and let him go elsewhere? It's hard to imagine that scenario with the team set for a Champions League campaign next season.

Lucho Gonzalez named best player in Portugal

Porto midfielder Lucho Gonzalez was named the best player in Portugal for the 2007-2008 season. Lucho was chosen in a vote by all the managers of the Portuguese league. The runner up was his teammate Lisandro Lopez who came two votes shy of winning the award.

Lucho had another outstanding season helping his team win its third straight league title.
